Up to the year 1985, the technocrat available for requirements in industry is very less in no. Hence, sensing the requirements, the management felt the need to start technical education in this backward Hyderabad Karnataka area.
Accordingly, the management started this institution, which offers three years diploma in technical education. At the very onset of opening of this institution, only three courses were commenced with the total intake of 120 students. But after words another three courses started with the total intake of 540 students.
It was felt that the demand for technical education has increased tremendously especially during the year 2000. Due to the opening of global economy, new vistas & avenues are opened for technical students. Widespread exposure in technical education resulted in more quality conscious amongst the end users. So, the need for quality technical education has become the benchmark.
The main vision of our institution is to constantly monitor the quality of education & strive towards achieving the transformation of this institution into a novel institution in this area.
From the Principal's Desk
The Hyderabad Karnataka Education Society’s Polytechnic, Gulbarga was established in the year 1986 with the intention to impart technical education to the peoples of this region. Right from inception, these institutions earned good reputation and always strive for upliftment of people in this region.
This institution is approved by AICTE, NewDelhi and affiliated to Board of Technical Education,Bangalore.The spacious campus is spread over 10 acres land and houses complete infrastructure as required.
Well-equipped labs, workshop, drawing hall and seminar hall and library besides lecture halls. State of the art computer labs with internet facility are established for all departments.
This institution offers diploma courses in 07 engineering disciplines and conducting training programs for undergraduate engineering students and diploma students in PLC, Mechatronics, and Hydraulics at HKES-BOSCH REXROTH Center.
The noteworthy feature of this institution is that it is the only institution in entire Hyderabad Karnataka Region to be selected by BOSCH-REXROTH to establish Regional center of competence in automation technology. At this center, training programs are conducted for the students in emerging technology as required by industries. Joint certification will be issued jointly by H K E Society & BOSCH REXROTH after completion of training programme, which increases the job prospects for trainers.
This institution is one among 100 intuitions throughout the country selected for implementing community development through polytechnic (CDTP) scheme, by MHRD, NewDelhi.
An active placement cell was established in the year 2006.the track record of the placement cell shows a very large number of this institution student are placed and are working in top multinational companies and in abroad also.
