H.K.E.S Polytechnic celebrated the 893rd Birth Anniversary of Basavanna (Basava Jayanti) with great enthusiasm and devotion. The program was organized to honor the birth anniversary of Basavanna, a great social reformer and philosopher.
The celebration began with a floral tribute to Basavanna’s portrait by the Principal, Shri Mallikarjun Babaleshwar Sir , Vice-Principal Shri Sangamesh Neela Sir, and faculty members. Students actively participated in the event by delivering speeches and sharing the teachings of Basavanna, focusing on equality, honesty, and the importance of hard work (Kayaka).
As part of the college curriculum, we actively conduct various NSS (National Service Scheme) Activities . These activities are aimed at developing a sense of social responsibility, leadership, and community service among students.
One of the major highlights of our NSS program is the Annual Special Camp, where in we adopt a village located near the college. In this camp, students engage in a wide range of service-oriented activities such as cleanliness drives, awareness programs, health camps, and community interaction,with awareness program for the villagers. This helps students understand rural life, identify local issues, and contribute towards the betterment of society.

Annual Sports Meet was successfully held at H.K.E.S Polytechnic from 04-02-2026 to 07-02-2026. The event was inaugurated in the gracious presence of our respected Convener Shri Mahadevappa Rampure Sir, Principal of PDA College of Engineering Dr. Sidram R. Patil Sir, Principal of H.K.E.S Polytechnic S.S. Galagali Sir, and Vice-Principal Sangmesh Neela Sir. Staff and students participated actively with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship, making the event lively and memorable. The Sports Meet created a positive atmosphere on campus and highlighted the true spirit of teamwork, discipline, and healthy competition among all participants.
The programme was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Dr. Uday Balagar, HOD, Information Science Department, PDA Engineering College, Kalaburagi. The chief guest was warmly welcomed and honoured with a garland by the Principal, Sri S. S. Galagali Sir, Vice-Principal, Sri Sangmesh Neela Sir.
The event was also attended by the faculty members, staff & Students of the polytechnic. Dr. Uday Balagar delivered an informative and inspiring session on the importance of Artificial Intelligence, its applications, and its future scope in engineering and technology.
An NSS (National Service Scheme) Shramadana cleanliness programme was successfully conducted at the H.K.E. Society ground, Kalaburagi. The programme was organized with the active participation of NSS student volunteers under the guidance of NSS Officer Shri Ravindra Kagwad sir. During the programme, students enthusiastically took part in cleaning activities such as removing weeds, bushes, and waste materials from the ground using proper tools. The initiative aimed to create awareness about cleanliness, environmental protection, and social responsibility among students.
Republic day in H.K.E.S Polytechnic,Kalaburagi The 77th Republic Day was celebrated with great patriotism and enthusiasm at H.K.E.Society's Polytechnic, Kalaburagi on 26th January 2026. The National Flag was Hoisted by Convener ,Shri Mahadevappa Rampure Sir , in the presence of Principal S.S.Galagali Sir ,Vice-Principal Sangmesh Neela Sir, Heads of all Departments ,staff and Students after flag hoisting ceremony all present took the oath of Swacch Bharat Abhiyan , also known as the Clean India Mission ,Pledging to maintain cleanliness & promote a healthy environment
